I am a taxonomist and evolutionary biologist conducting research on insects at the Field Museum, where I have served as a Collection Technician in the insect collection for the past year. Since 2017, I have also collaborated with the TaxonLab at the Federal University of Paraná and contributed to the NAPI-Taxonline initiative since its inception in 2020.
â
As a Collection Technician at the Field Museum, I coordinate the NSF-funded Terrestrial Parasite Tracker (TPT) project. This initiative focuses on digitizing and databasing over 150,000 samples of Siphonaptera and Acari parasites, enhancing their accessibility and utility for scientific research.
â
I am also involved in several outreach projects dealing with promoting Biology as a vibrant professional option for curious young students, as well as enhancing access to scientific knowledge for other researchers and any person passionate about science.
